The Public Health Resource Centre is located at 99 Regina St South in the Public Health and Social Services Building (corner of William and Regina in Waterloo). The Resource Centre is located on the 1st floor and is open Monday to Friday.

Sun Protection
Sun Safety for Outdoor Workers Kit (Canadian Dermatology Association, 2007)
This kit is designed to support workplaces who employ outdoor workers. The kit will help workplaces to develop sun protection strategies related to awareness raising, education/skill building, environmental support and policy development for management and workers. Included in the kit is a manual and DVD. The manual contains educational material including sections on why skin cancer prevention is important for outdoor workers, factors affecting ultraviolet radiation, sun safety at work, and sun safe policies. There are several fact sheets and posters which may be copied. The short DVD (10 minutes), may be used to educate employees on the risk of skin cancer, easy ways to protect against the sun, what skin cancer looks like and what to do if you find a suspicious mole or spot.
