Breast, Cervical and Colorectal Screening

Description:  Screening has meaning.  Find out with this display how important screening is in the early detection of cancer in women.  It also shows the different lump sizes that can be detected through a variety of breast screening methods.

Special Instructions when booking:  Recommended to also take out the accompanying pamphlet entitled “Are you a woman 50 and over?  Finding breast cancer early could save your life”.

Interactive Components:  “Thingamaboob” (with Shadow Box) - allows people to visually see the size of a lump that is detected through a mammogram, through an examination with a medical doctor and through self-examinations.

Cancer Screening (Find Cancer Early) - Table Top Displays 

Description: These table top displays describe the provincially recommended screening guidelines for BREAST, CERVICAL and COLORECTAL cancer.

Special Instructions when booking: These pull-down table top banner displays can be booked out individually or used together.

"Reduce Your Risk" Floor Display

Description: The display gives information on risk factors related to everyday choices that a person can change to reduce their risk of cancer.

Special Instructions when booking:  Book alone, or the display could be used with the three screening table top banner displays.
Recommendation to include the following pamphlets: Eat Well, Be Active, What you can do.
Pick pamphlets from the following topic areas: Sun Protection; Substance Mis-use Prevention; Tobacco Free Living; and Breast, Cervical, and Colorectal screening.

"Find Cancer Early" Floor Display (screening guidelines)

Description:  The floor display shows the recommended provincial cancer screening programs for men and women.

Special Instructions when booking:  Use alone, or with the Reduce Your Risk floor display (above).
Recommendation: include the following pamphlets:
Breast screening: Are You a women 50 and over? OR Breast Health- What can you do?
Cervical screening: HPV and Screening for Cancer of the Cervix
Colorectal screening: Get the Transparent Truth about Colon Cancer
